Dutch Smoked Cheese Dip

Try adding some chilli flakes on top for some added bite!

Ingredients

  • 150g bacon (cut into small squares)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoon butter
  • 2 Tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup dutch smoked cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Fry the bacon squares in a pan until lightly crisp, then set aside.
  2. In a separate saucepan over low heat, melt butter.
  3. Add in the flour and use a whisk to mix until smooth. Then add in the milk and whisk again until smooth.
  4. Bring the pot to a boil and then straight down to a simmer. Cook until the mixture has thickened.
  5. Stir in the bacon and cheese, and salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Pour into your preferred serving bowl and serve.
  7. Enjoy!
