The Ultimate Barbeque, Bacon Cheese Burger.

Wanting something extra special this weekend? Try this at home cheeseburger!

This is definatly one to take your time on but is so worth the effort.

Ingredients

Burger Patties

  • 450grams low-fat beef mince
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Burger

  • 4 Potato burger buns
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 slices of streaky bacon
  • 4 slices of American burger cheese or Maasdam cheese
  • 1 large tomato sliced into 8 rings
  • 1/2 bunch green leaf lettuce washed and sliced to your preference
  • 1/2 medium red onion thinly sliced into rings
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle slices

Burger Sauce

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp BBQ Sauce (we recommend Berrenberg coopers ale barbeque sauce)

Instructions

  1. Mix all burger pattie ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. layout glad wrap and form a log with the mixture until the roundness is just a bit larger than the buns.
  3. Wrap in the glad wrap and pop in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
  4. Remove mince from the fridge and cut into 4 portions.
  5. Heat a large cast-iron pan over medium-high heat cook the patties. cook on one side fully, when you flip the patties add the cheese on top in the pan, add the bacon to the pan, and cook. (Thicker patties 3-4 mins per side, Thinner patties 2 minutes per side.)
  6. Remove patties and bacon from the pan once cooked, and lightly tent with alfoil.
  7. Spread the cut-side of the buns with butter and toast the cut sides in the pan until golden brown.
  8. Add a generous amount of sauce to both buns, add pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion onto the bottom buns, add cheesy burger patty and bacon on the veggies and cover with top bun.
  9. Enjoy!
