We are regular customers of IGA Winthrop for over 20 years and over the last few months have been disappointed with the lack of customer service especially on weekends when... read more junior staff are rostered on the checkouts and floor. I asked today to see the Manager as the staff didn’t know what I was talking about when asked if they had any Darrell Lea Fathers Day bags. The Manager who was in his early 20’s had no idea either. I showed a photo from the catalog and on the website and still he has no idea what I was referring to. It took a mature women who was working in the meat isle to intervene and explained IGA had them displayed at the front of the store last week but were all sold out. This person worked weekends only. The so called Managers need to be better informed or take an interest in what new products are being promoted in the stores, or don’t roster inexperienced staff on weekends.

This store seems considerably more expensive than other IGA stores like Willagee. Parking is not too bad but can be busy at peak times with a few disabled bays available. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Good iga to shop at. They used to have cheeky chook Wednesdays with discounted hot chooks but they recently got rid of it 🙁
