Oysters

A classic and light entree for a lovely meal.

These are easy can be done in a matter of minutes!

Ingredients

  • Rock salt
  • 12 fresh oysters
  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges
  • Crushed ice

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped spring onions
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper

Instructions

  1. If frozen allow the oysters to defrost.
  2. Mix all sauce ingredients together.
  3. Cut your lime and lemon into small easily squeezable wedges removing the seeds as best you can.
  4. 10 minutes before serving add the crushed ice to a circular dish and arrange the oysters in a neat circle around the outside facing outwards.
  5. Add the sauce into a small bowl or dish that fits in the middle of the oysters with a small serving spoon.
  6. Add the lemon and lime wedges to a separate small dish to serve.
  7. Add the rock salt to another separate small dish to serve.
  8. Enjoy!
