Chocolate covered anything sounds delicious, but these chocolate covered dried figs put a little twist on chocolate-covered fruit.
Let’s be honest, dried figs alone taste amazing. But these are a little extra special and super simple! If you have any dietary restrictions, you can always use your preferred chocolate. Just make sure it is made for cooking.
Ingredients
- 250g dried figs
- 250g Cadbury cooking chocolate melts (or your preferred chocolate)
Instructions
- Dice the dried figs into bite-size pieces, quarters or leave them whole if that’s what you prefer, and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Microwave the chocolate for 30 seconds intervals, removing and stirring at each 30-second interval, until the chocolate has melted. (be careful not to burn the chocolate)
- Using 2 forks coat each piece of fig with chocolate allowing the excess chocolate to run off before placing it onto the baking tray.
- Once all pieces of fig have been covered refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before eating or until chocolate has fully set.
- Enjoy!
