Creamy Mushroom Sauce

Perfect for topping pork, chicken or steak!

Super simple and super tasty! You can finish off cooking your meat in the sauce when you add the cream to give the meat more flavour.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp salted butter
  • 250g sliced button or field mushrooms
  • 300ml Dollop or thickened cream
  • 1 tbsp dried forest mushrooms (chopped)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a non-stick pan melt the butter
  2. Once butter is melted and hot add all of the mushrooms to the pan lightly salt and pepper the mushrooms.
  3. Cook until the mushrooms have become soft and fragrant.
  4. Add the cream and stir until the sauce becomes hot and thick. If the cream you are using contains more water you will need to cook for longer until it reaches a thick consistency.
  5. Once it has become a thick creamy sauce remove it from the heat and immediately add to your desired meal.
  6. Enjoy!
