Chocolate, banana and peanut butter in one bite!
We sprinkle these bites with crushed almonds, but you can add anything you like! Try sultanas, shredded coconut or leave them bare.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas (Peeled)
- 200g dark cooking chocolate
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 3 Tbsp chopped and crushed almonds
- toothpicks, popsicle sticks or skewers
Instructions
- Cut the bananas into 2cm pieces, prepare a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
- Spread an even amount of peanut butter on half of the banana slices and sandwich the bare slices on top. Spike each of the banana bites with your toothpicks, popsicles or skewers. Make sure the toothpick goes through both pieces of banana.
- Place the crushed almonds in a bowl or on a plate.
- Melt your chocolate using the double boiler method. Gently tilting the bowl to one side, coat each banana bite evenly in chocolate. Before the chocolate sets sprinkle on some crushed almonds.
- Place on the baking tray, when all banana bites are finished place your tray in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from the fridge and serve immediately
