Banana And Chocolate Chip Squares

Have some over ripe bananas you need to use?

Banana and chocolate have always been a great combination! We almost guarantee these won’t last long.

Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 5 ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup almond or oat milk
  • 2 eggs

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup gluten free plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 2/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips to sprinkle on top

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180c and grab a baking tin (about 35cm x 25cm or something similar will work fine)and line it with baking paper.
  2. In a large bowl Mash the bananas and add in all other wet ingredients and mix well.
  3. Add in all other ingredients and fold in until combined.
  4. Pour the mix into the prepared baking tray and try to spread it out so it is even, sprinkle to 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top.
  5. Place in the oven and bake for 18 minutes or until you can poke with a cake skewer and it comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to fully cool before removing from the tin and slicing.
  7. Enjoy!
