Who doesn’t love a good bowl of carbonara…?
With smokey dutch cheese, salty bacon and creamy pasta you really can’t make this dish any better… Or can you? Add one of our pre-made garlic bread’s from the fridge section and make this the perfect weekend meal!
Ingredients
- 100grams bacon
- 50grams smoked dutch cheese (grated)
- 50grams parmesan (Grated)
- 3 large eggs
- 350g spaghetti
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbsp fresh Prasley (roughly chopped)
- 1 Tsp Salt
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Cook Pasta per packect instructions but add in 1 tsp salt into the water. And reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water after cooking.
- In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and cheese’s; set aside.
- Heat a large non stick pan over medium high heat. Add bacon and cook until brown and crispy, about 6-8 minutes; reserve excess fat.
- Stir in garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. Reduce heat to low.
- Working quickly, stir in pasta and egg mixture, and gently toss to combine; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Add reserved pasta water, one tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve immediately, garnish with parsley.
