A perfect refreshing drink to a hot summer’s day!
Perfect for pairing with a cheese board for those beautiful picnics!
Ingredients
Syrup
- 1 1/2 cup organic cane sugar
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 3 ripe nectarines (thinly sliced and extra for serving)
Tea
- 3-4 tea bags
- 12 cups filtered water
Instructions
- In a saucepan bring sugar, water, and nectarines to a boil. Lower heat and use a wooden spoon to stir and crush the nectarines to infuse the flavour.
- Once the sugar is dissolved, cover the saucepan and remove from heat and let sit for 25-30 minutes.
- In a large pot brew the tea for no more than 4-5 minutes or it can get bitter. Once brewed, remove tea bags or strain out loose leaf tea and transfer pour into a pitcher and put in the fridge to cool.
- Once your syrup is finished, pour into a bottle or container over a fine mesh strainer to strain out nectarines.
- Serve tea over ice and fresh sliced nectarines. Add as much syrup as you like.
- Enjoy!
